About the Author

Legendary tattoo artist FREDDY NEGRETE is best known for his pioneering black-and-gray tattoo style, honed while serving time in a series of correctional facilities during a youth mired in abuse, gang life, and drug addiction. His "joint-style" designs eventually found their way out onto the streets of East LA and, in 1980, he created a piece that earned him a Tattoo Artist of the Year Award. After a ten-year period of renouncing his tattooing success in favor of bible study and becoming the pastor of his own church, Freddy eventually returned to tattooing in 1990 to find that he had become a tattoo superstar during the decade he had been away from the life. Freddy has been featured in the History Channel's Marked series, in the documentary Tattoo Nation, on Spike TV's Inkmaster as a guest judge, and in numerous print, online, and video publications. In 2007, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Body Art Expo, one of the biggest and most established tattoo conventions in the world. Having suffered the ravages of drug addiction for many years, Freddy is now also certified to work closely with young addicts at Beit T'Shuvah in Los Angeles, a treatment center based on Jewish spirituality and Twelve Step principles. Freddy lives in Hollywood with his son Isaiah, who is also a successful tattoo artist. They both work at the Shamrock Social Club on the Sunset Strip and have tattooed numerous celebrities, musicians, and sport personalities.

It took me two days to finish this book. This book had a profound effect on me. I cried, I smiled, I read parts that I completely identified with. The main feeling I have after reading this book is a better understanding of life. This book was inspiring. It's funny I had no clue about Freddy Negrete. When I met him I Immediately liked him. As I watched him work I was so captivated by how he was doing my tattoo. I have two other tattoos but this was different. I feel honored to have the tattoo of my dreams done by a artist such as Freddy. After reading his book I feel grateful and humbled to have met such an authentic human being. In the book he really shares his life with you in such a way that you can't stop reading. I loved this book! Sincerely Shellie M

This is a historic book when it comes to the subject of tattooing. Its a sad story because now freddy negrete lost his other son isaiah soon after the book was released. Rip boo boo.

Another kick butt read by Hopf. He is becoming my favorite Western author and writes with a unique twist that I haven't seen before. This story is gritty and has heart. Don't miss it!

Excellent book with a great story and excellent characters. Have read all of the books written by this author and would highly recommend them to everyone that enjoys a great western book.

Holp is an excellent author and has a very unique writing style. A western on revenge, but ends in redemption. Good story, and if you like westerns, you will enjoy this book.

Good book lots of action and great story. Would recommend this author he is a great story teller and has a good script.

Good story line but seemed to clip some of the encounters and make them to short. I think this made the book to short.

This is the first time I've read this author, but it won't be the last. There were a number of things I liked about this book. The characters were true and honest and believable. The storyline was really well thought out, and I liked that the ending was a little different than what I was expecting, but turned out the better for it, and I felt was appropriate. This author's style and tone was easy to read and enjoyable. The other thing that impressed me was how this fine author wrote his book without using any bad language. It just goes to show that a well told and thoughtful story can be told without using curse words. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a good western.

Excellent story about forgiveness, misconceptions, tying up loose ends, trust, love and second chances. I am enjoying Mr. Hopf's adventures in the old West. It is living a post apocalyptic life without the disaster.Looking forward to reading more of this genre.

 As of November 2017, this is the newest LSAT exam. The LSAT's changed quite a bit since since the early 1990s in the first book of 10, so it's *really* important to get the newest PrepTests. If you're reading this sometime between in the next few years, you should probably complete this test as a timed test a week or two before Test Day.If you're taking the LSAT in the next few years, this exam sadly won't be published in a book of 10, so it's relatively more expensive....BUT IT'S WORTH IT. A small investment of 10 bucks can pay off BIG TIME for you - where you get in, how much scholarship $ you get, etc.Books of 10 exams you should probably get:72-8162-7152-6142-51 (if you have a long time to study)29-38 (if you have a long time to study)Happy studying! Good book. Using it for my FEA class and it's well organized, easy to follow and the downloadable content matches the exercises perfectly.

Very basic info. Maybe good for an intro. Lots of the info seems outdated. Nowhere near enough info on the most important part of any FEA...interpreting the results & understanding failure criteria. I don't think there's anything in this book that you couldn't learn more quickly (and free) on the internet.

I had to buy this for a class. I got it in time and it seemed to be in nice condition, but tons of the pages were stuck together at the edges and had to be cut apart. Almost like the book pages were supposed to be sliced but weren’t.
