My daughter is turning 7, 1st grade, and she loves the book. She would look at the pictures, and flip through. She is advanced in reading for a 1st grade since she had been in a combo class. I want to test her with a book that has more words. However, it is a bit too hard for 1st grader. I would say it's good for 2nd grade?! Give it a try.
This is a great book. My son and I are currently learning about famous artists. He is 10 and we took this book out from the library and loved it so much that I purchased it and I am using it as a curriculum guide for our art study
My 11yr old daughter has read this as well as kid authors and kid athletes. She loves them! They are funny, engaging and inspiring. We have also given this book as gifts. Great for any gender child.
My 9 year old artist is fascinated with this book! It's really a great way of connecting with kids about history! She's learned so much sine she got it for her birthday in December! Highly recommended $
My 8 yr old son is loving this book!! I ADORE the Jackson Pollock chapter.
This is my daughter's favorite book. These short stories offer insight to famous artists. It's incredibly diverse and focuses on all different, impactful types of art. The illustrations are funny. It's good for all ages, as my 3, 5, and 7 year olds all like hearing the stories.
Excited to add this to my kids library. Very cool and fun way to learn!
This book is well-written and a lot of fun. It had a lot of stories about the artists' childhoods that I'd never heard before, and the illustrations are cute, too. I'm going to get the one on the presidents next.
