This was one of my first cookbooks as a child, I had a lot of fun making the recipes with my parents. Now as an adult my brother asked for the meringue cookies and I gladly used it as an excuse to buy a new copy (my mom took off with mine!). Every time I see this book I get nostalgic, it's great.

This is creative charming and so much fun Witches was my favorite R Dahl book as a girl my kids loved James and Giant Peach movie and so much more we made Bruce Bogtrotter's cake and had fun making Marshmallow pillow if you or kids you love enjoy the book or movies or just want to have fun I highly recommend

This book is the best purchase I've made in a long time for my children. It contains recipes from the different stories by the famous author but recipes that are mouthwatering and easily realized by 8 year old children, that is about the age of Roald Dahl if I trust our experience. A great surprise!

She loves this cookbook and has already enjoyed a couple of the recipes.

This was a big hit with my aspiring chef niece. The recipes are simple fare, but give nice fun twists on easy recipes that will allow her to think imaginatively about food while being fully competent to cook it.

Such a fun book for kids or adults! Makes me want to re-read all his books again! The recipes work great and are such fun

A whole bunch of recipes for a rainy day with the kids. You can pretend they're as bad as they sound; in fact (so far) they're pretty good. Not to mention easy for duffer chefs like me.

I'm not really sure that I'd ever eat anything from this cookbook on a regular basis, but it makes a great gift for anyone who loves the Roald Dahl books. I think the recipies are more for something like parties or if you have a picky eater.

So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.

This book by Amy Sparling takes you on an adventure as you watch Jace and Bayleigh take it to the next level in their relationship. Amy truly shows the trustworthy in Jace and the true colors within Bayleigh. Once reaching the second cover you while be sucked into a teenage love life

I absolustely LOVE everything about this whole series!!! 💓💓 But there is one flaw i didnt like about this book. Jace mentions his parents divorce but then in the rest of the books his parents are happily married and completely in love. Was very confusing. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars.

It had potential to be pretty good, but there just wasn't a lot of depth to this one. It felt too short and rushed. I think it will end up ok by the end of the series. It was fine.

Oh my I just adore this book. I got it used but it is in fantastic shape for a library book. The binding is broken and torn so I had to fix that but otherwise I can not complain. I received it really fast. What I love about all the bears it that as one looks you can make up your own using the body patterns of the bears in the book. So awesome as it should be. Very easy to read and follow the directions.

Nicely constructed bear. Easy to understand and make.

I have many diabetic, culturally true Hispanic patients, and to tell them not to eat rice.....well, you've lost them from there. They WANT to do right, but they also live in their families! This is a great book- a recipe per page clearly written out with facing page in English!!! Patients seem excited that the food is familiar. And the recipes seem to work for them. SO glad I bought it. I have tried a couple as well- Mexican food is my hands down favorite- and they are good alternatives to old favorites.

I did not like this book. It's just recipes from different country's but it does not seem to be for diabetics. This recipes have a lot of rice ingridients. I got it for my mother & it did not help her. Also I don't like the fact that it's in English & spanish. I only wanted a book in Spanish. It's the same recipes in both languages.

My neighbor needed more recipes for her husband and she went through it and seems to like it. Someone needs to change the listing for the sale of this book as both English and Spanish. I thought I ordered Spanish only but that is ok. It has recipes from different Latin Countries

This is a very good book for Diabetic cooking, in this book you find out that you don't have to deprived your self from eating good food, the recepies are in English & Spanish, I gave this to my Mom and she love it even my sister like it, they have made lots of recepies from it, and they also learn to modified others.its a very handy book for whom ever what to try healthy dishes

I liked this book. Got it for a friend that enjoys her Latin cuisine but was diagnosed pre diabetic and was hesitant about cooking. The recipes are simple using basic ingredients with a focus on discussing portion control and cooking with herbs and spicess.

This book too was purchase for my friend, to help keep her blood sugar in check while she has fun eating once again, and so far it is working that way.

In the introduction, it suggested the reader had a lot of options in reading the book starting from chapter 1, 4, or 9. That was a bad sign. The chapter on "Reason," which would have been a logical place to start, was in chapter 11. Rather than start with basic terms and concepts and build up, it just wandered from one topic to another. Usually, Dummies Book are excellent in taking complex concepts and making them simple and easy to understand. This was a mess. A very difficult book to make sense out of.

Understanding your own thought processes and patterns (i.e., stereotypes) provides a means toward understanding how other people think (and act). Even normal and healthy people don't always operate in a rational manner; stereotypes are the shortcuts we use to quickly (and with reduced effort) size up a situation or new information to compartmentalize sensory inputs to allow action or reaction. It takes mental energy to analyze, reason and make informed and logical conclusions. The energy deficit is contrary to survival instincts and patterns.

Learning and memorizing facts is not thinking. We have to teach this generation HOW to think not WHAT to think. Today people bow down to whatever some guy with a PHD tells them, but he clearly talks about how even scientists sometimes could be wrong, highly recommended!

It's a good reference for those who need to increase their critical thinking/reading skills. The author tricks you a few places in order to teach you things you may not already know.

Kudos, this is a well written book, a good foray into a tough subject.

Good intro book for critical thinking. You will learn how to develop your critical thinking skills. It's a little wordy though.

This is a good book I liked it because it has great ideas in it.
