Julia Garcia has come up with another quality cookbook that is easy to read and easy to follow. Prior to this book, I had little to no experience with a pressure cooker. I have been interested in purchasing one, and this book came at the right time. In addition, Garcia’s focus on Mediterranean recipes reinforces the notion that a pressure cooker is a fantastic choice for healthy eating.The variety of recipes is the first thing that caught my attention. As expected, the cookbook recipes are veggie- and meat-centric. The Did You Know? Section of recipes is a welcome addition that helps to bring each recipe to life.While the recipes are relatively easy to prepare, the food combinations are what impressed me most: collard greens and shrimp, shrimp stew with Brussels sprouts, squid ink pasta with trout fillets, chickpea stew with onions, chicken pudding with artichoke, chicken with Swiss chard, and a ground beef omelet.Garcia ends the book with a meal plan, shopping list, and conversion tables. Overall, this cookbook is an excellent resource for healthy Mediterranean-themed recipes with short cooking times.

I've been waiting for an Instant Pot cookbook for the Mediterranean Diet and really hoped this was it. By the reviews and description I was a bit mislead. First of all the table of contents lists the page numbers incorrectly. i.e. Desserts and Smoothies do NOT start on page 135. Desserts start on page 109. Smoothies start on page 127. Spelling typos are present, but not in huge numbers. The unique photos of the recipes are greatly exaggerated. Other than the cover photos, they are all in black and white and not of high quality. I don't find any of the dishes appetizing by photo alone. Plus the photo pages are broken up with a 2 1/4 inch block that includes wording that would fit in the page of recipe text, or in a much smaller space. Weird. I own several cookbooks with no photos so this is not a deal breaker. However, the book is not as advertised. Several of the recipes sound delicious and I will be trying them. I will not be attempting marinated smelt or squid ink pasta!

She not only provides tasty recipes that are highly nutritious but a bonanza of tips, hints, charts, and supplementary materials that makes her cookbook a must have! Her simple recipes allowed me to maximize the value of my electric pressure cooker with entertainment worthy meals and side dishes that were easy and quick to prepare.

Love the ideas of cleaning the inner pot-will give them a try!Each recipe comes with a color photo and a bit about the dish and what allergies the dish is made for: gluten free, soy free, nut free, etc.Tells you how long to prepare the dish and cooking time, servings also.Useful tips along the way.List of ingredients but feel free to substitute for your dietary needs, especially using low sodium varieties.Directions are given along with nutritional information that includes calories, proteins, carbs, dietary fibers, sugars, fat and sat. fats, no sodium levels are noted.Like the suggestions on how to make the dish a bit different.Chocolate cake will be one to try when we have company as fat content is a bit high for us to eat the cake on our own-we could have a sliver. Ground beef omelet sounds really good and quick to make.Smoothie recipes do not use the pressure cooker but go along with a high nutrient based cookbook in a liquid form.Found quite a few recipes I will try in the next few weeks. This is a wonderful cookbook and I recommend it for everyone. Are you considering a Mediterranean diet? Have you heard about this diet? Having this cookbook is a great and delicious way to keep up with your diet. Even if you have never heard of a Medieterranean diet or are not on this diet you will not be disappointed by these recipes. DELICIOUS!! I love using a pressure cooker and crockpot. I didn't know there was an electric pressure cooker before reading this cookbook -- this cookbook is an outstanding way to start cooking with a new kitchen appliance I might just need to add to our kitchen. Add this book to your cookbook library today -- I recommend it.

Lately I’ve been having trouble finding good recipes online. I usually just browse Pinterest or Google for inspiration. This cookbook seems to really help me out here. I still search the internet occasionally, but usually end up going back to this book again to find my recipe of the day. Not only does it save me a great amount of trouble, they are also just more detailed. I’ve already tried a couple and they turned out great. No fancy and confusing instructions. They are straight to the point and tell you exactly when to press which button, and when to turn it off. I’m very happy with this one.
