The covers now only say "Tales of Tamriel."That's a good change, too. Though branded as being tied to The Elder Scrolls Online, an MMO many offline players have been hesitant to check out -- for what it's worth, it's a great game that earns the Elder Scrolls name -- the content and stories here are pretty universal and will be of interest to any Elder Scrolls lore geek, from novices to the long devoted.The production quality on this set is OUTSTANDING. The books are sturdy hardcovers with faux leather textured covers, lavish illustrations inside, and thick glossy paper. They are genuinely GORGEOUS. I initially balked at the price, but once I had it in my hands I understood.The box is nice, too, with textured print and designs, and a sturdy build that should last. These are not cheaply made!It's what's inside that counts, though, right?Each book runs a little over 200 pages and contains dozens of in-game books and (I'm pretty sure) some addition material not found in the games."Book 1: The Land" is broken into five sections. These sections are organized based on the factions of Elder Scrolls Online, but veterans of the offline games will have no problem navigating what's what. The book opens with a brief section on Tamriel history. The next section is focused on the people and places of the Aldmeri Dominion, which means it's a series of tales and pieces on the high elves, wood elves, and khajiit. Section two covers the Daggerfall Covenant, made up of the orcs, Bretons, and Redguards. The fourth section is on the Ebonheart Pact, aka the dark elves, argonians, and nords (of Skyrim fame). And finally, a section on creatures wraps things up. The material here gives you a great sense for the people and places of the game world, including many places we never visited in the offline games.Book II: The Lore is (obviously) focused on history and lore.This one is broken into six sections: Racial Motifs (descriptions of the races), Lore (history, the gods, etc.), Magicka (about the schools of magic), Warfare and Factions (about guilds and combat), Oblivion (about the planes of Oblivion), and Daedra (self explanatory). This one gets a little deeper into the headier stuff that makes up Elder Scrolls lore.If you've read some in-game books, you know what to expect. There arearound 400 or so in-game books represented in these two volumes, far more than most people have read while playing the games.If you've skipped the in-game books, here's what to expect: a load of well-written tales, essays and pieces about Tamriel, presented as if written by people who live in the game world. They can vary from serious and deep to whimsical and fantastic. Just as the tone of the games switch a lot, so do these stories.If one of the pieces isn't catching your interest, no worries. Just skip it. Each story is very brief, usually only a single page, making this a GREAT book to just pick up and read for a few moments. Things are arranged in a logical order so if you want to read the books straight through you can, but it's not necessary. You can skip around to the things that interest you. If it wasn't so nicely made, it would make good bathroom reading. Hey Bethesda, get affordable softcovers made of these released so we don't have to feel guilty about beating them up!All in all, this set is terrific. The price is about the same as buying the two volumes individually, plus it comes in a gorgeous slipcase. Can't beat that. Looking forward to getting the Skyrim version next week!EDIT: My copy of The Skyrim Library - Volumes I, II & III (Box Set) has arrived, and it's equally as gorgeous!

The set I got was used, and still in BEAUTIFUL condition. These books are fantastic for anyone that enjoys the Elder Scrolls Online. The lore is not 100% the same as Skyrim/Oblivion/etc, but even aside from that it's hard to dislike anything about these books. They contain loads of information from the game, which is super handy if you happen to have a habit of reading in-game books right as you get punched in the back of the head by a sprigggan and have to quit looking at whatever you tried to just read only to have it disappear. And these books come with pictures. Who doesn't like pictures?

The sheer amount of lore and story background for the whole Elder Scrolls series is amazing. These 2 volumes I have found to be worth the price. I enjoy reading about the different parts and lore of the world of Tamriel and these 2 books will deliver on both story content and wonderful pictures to enjoy.

The books are really nice. They are very well put together and full of little stories and background from the ES universe. My only gripe is that the first book had some really odd looking marks on the cover and back and some of the font on the spine was damaged. These were purchased brand new by the way.

I love all of The Elder Scrolls games, and I play Elder Scrolls Online daily since launch. With that being said, these books are really nice; they're high quality, the pages and font look awesome and there is also some really cool art. These are definitely well made and they'll look awesome on any bookcase.However, if you play Elder Scrolls Online a lot like I do, then this set isn't really worth buying (in my opinion.)Pretty much all of the texts within both books are exact texts from in-game Lorebooks that you can discover, save and read for later (while playing Elder Scrolls Online.) I enjoy reading Lorebooks, always have in every TES game, but I wouldn't have spent the money on this set if I had known it's all stuff that I can just log into ESO and read.In conclusion, these books are very well-made and I will still read them, despite what I wrote above. If you're on the fence about these, get em! But, if you're just looking for some new Elder Scrolls literature, all of this stuff can be found in ESO. Cheers!

I love reading about lore for the Elder scrolls series and I saw this and I wanted it right away. I had ordered this on Sunday Nov 4th 2018 and received it the next day Monday Nov 5th 2018. So when i arrived home I opened it and the books are in perfect condition no dents nothing wrong. The books are heavy duty including the casing it comes with is heavy duty, Perfect to my collection of books for the Elder Scrolls series. I recommend this to any fan of the series.

I found this book to be very practical. It has a lot of insides that will give you more awareness about certain behaviors that robe you of personal magnetism. The challenge that I found in this book is that when it comes to exercises some times the clarity is not there, but all in all they are morethen I found in any other books, and will make you feel stronger, and ready for action. If you don't do the exercises that is probably not going to happen for you, and if you don't read the previous work about personal magnetism you also will not get the full picture.In conclusion I would say this, if your goal is to become charismatic, you do need to add this books to your library.

This book is fanatasic it did help a bit with our marriage and after a 6 year separation we are back together. I do highly recommend watching fire proof first to get the mistakes that caleb makes when doing this and what to possibly expect from your spouse. Do not expect a miracle over night. The ideas and intentions are good, but the 2 guys I sent this to, quickly found that it doesn't work as well as it did for the author.If I remember correctly, the author began changing his behaviors and did these things, pretty much out of nowhere, and by keeping to this book, his wife changed her attitude also, their marriage turned around, and became Christ-centered. But it was very different for both my friends. They each received the book with joy, began keeping to it, but their wives were both skeptical and didn't receive their actions positively. Today, neither of them are married any longer to the woman they bought it for.So don't look at this book as an easy fix for your marriage or your relationship with your wife. Instead, use it WITH other means (get involved together with a church group, pray together, read the Bible (separately and together), Christian marriage counseling, join a group at church that's going through the book together, etc.). Jesus needs to be the center of the marriage as a whole, and both of your lives.

Just out some of these problems on the board and follow the advice of the book and you will see amazing things. My low kids are as fast as my high ones with mental math now. There are secrets though. If you just put the problems up and don't use the methods, expect nothing. You might find a useful video on YouTube that demonstrates a proper Number Talk. Get the book too though, because the mental math problems are nicely selected and organized to teach Common Core methods.

This is the best book! It was worth every penny. It is great for teaching mental math. I use it everyday and it is unbelievable what my 3rd graders can do. I have taught 3rd grade for 15 years and I have never had a class that can add, subtract and multiply in their heads like this! This book is FANTASTIC!

I learned about Number Talks from my colleagues and curriculum coaches and its my new favorite thing. It is great for math fluency/flexibility and it doesn't take a huge chunk of time from formal instruction. The kids really enjoy it and I always like hearing what they see.

It's a little dry but there are number talks for the grade levels that are explicitly designed. I just wish they had more of a variety for K. They all involve dots so I think I will try to pull ideas from the other grade levels mentioned.

I am reading this for work; I would have liked to see more ideas for first graders. I understand that six year olds are SIX! However, the curriculum is what it is. I adapt a bit when need be. The students are enjoying the Number Talk!

Totally awesome concept to teach math. I wish i could have been taught this way. My daughters elementary school is using this method to teach k-5 @Rowlett Elementary School. The school held a math night for the parents to intrudes this new curriculum to us and give us some informative tips along with explaining their reasoning to start using this curriculum throughout the campus. I couldn't wait to purchase this book and become more familiar with this type of teaching math to our children. I am in the process of trying to get the school to hold an all day parent training day as all whom attended wanted to know more. I wish I was taught math this way as a child. I have complete faith in this teaching concept that it will allow all the students to not just learn math and the basic skills, however, will equip them with a strong foundation giving them the ability to learn, solve, and have a love of math throughout not only their academic years but throughout their lives. What a completely awesome logical way to assist and assure our children success in math.only thru their academic years but throughouttheir as all whom

Great resource for classroom Teachers. It has thought out number strands to use for various addition and subtraction strategies you are focusing on. It’s also helpful to have the videos to watch along with the text.

This book is a must for any educator who wishes to develop problem solving strategies in their learners. I would even recommend it for a book study group, especially since it comes with a DVD--that really helps to gain an understanding in how students think about problems, as well as inadvertently demonstrating some great class management techniques. It outlines a lot of strategies that you can teach the kids in mini-lessons, and is very doable to add into your routine. I highly recommend it!!My only wish was that the DVD contained some classroom examples of 1st graders.

This is a good book. Tells how to cook the recipes on top of the stove, in the oven or out camping. There are some really tasty recipes in there. Some call for canned goods and not too many fresh items that are hard to keep fresh when camping Highly recommend this for anyone looking to start cooking in cast iron. It even tells you how to season your new pan and care for them.

I like this cookbook a lot. It has easy to follow recipes. Directions are given for indoor stovetop cooking as well as outdoor cooking with charcoal briquettes. It’s actually my favorite Dutch oven cookbook so far. There are recipes for all types of cast iron cooking, such as skillets and traditional pot style Dutch ovens.

Don't buy this book unless you like using canned food and refrigerator biscuits in your recipes. This is not what I expected at all.

One of my favorite cook books. One of the few cast iron cook books that give directions for both the stove, oven and campfire. The recipes are not complicated, but cook. I have given this cook book to several of my friends, and they were also VERY happy with it, and have enjoyed the recipes out of this book
