Cass is everything we want to be, she is smart, loyal, fierce, independent but still sweet enough to appreciate her mates and all they do for her. This book was so good, I love how she struggled to get free but how she never stopped fighting. I specially enjoyed the moment she sees her mates all bloodied and broken but still tells them she rescued herself lol. The end of the book was touching and unexpected “A dragon!!!!, I can’t wait for her to show the gods to not mess with her or her mates. Thank you Meg, you are awesome and I love every single one of your books.

O.m.g. Meg X Xuemei has blown me out of the water with this one. The action, the steam, the heartbreak and the rage. Our Goddess is growing up and in this one she discovers all the dirty secrets about her DNA. The gods need to die. Cass knows now that she must stop them no matter the cost but Cass also loses a lot in the process and at the end we get a glimpse of what is exactly is instore for book 4 . A court of Ice and wind was magnificent and I literally couldn't put it down! Grab yourself a copy today, you won't be disappointed I promise!

I love her writing style. I love the plot and characters in this series. However there was a cpl times where it didnt transition well for me. I'm not sure what it is with this one. Something was just off at moments. It wasn't to the point that I won't finish the series but it just didnt have a consistent flow like the first 2 books. Hoping the last one in February meets expectations!😘

The complexity of the plot wraps in with the rudimentary standing making this story easy to understand yet interesting which makes this story super good in pretty much all ways possible you will only find so many books like this

I couldn't put it down! So refreshing to not be able to predict what will happen next! And the cliffhanger at the end loved It but also hate it cause I have to wait for the next book! It's a must read!!!!

Gosh, I love this series and devoured the book in under 3hs. Knowing I have to wait another 2 months for the next book is killing me!LOVE YOUR BOOKS!!!!!

Someone actually came between Cass and her cake. I'm not going to tell you who, but I will tell you that it doesn't last long and she quickly returns to loving her favorite food. I swear my jaw hit the floor when I read that. With every book in this series, I love Cass more and more. She is still that wonderful blend of immaturity and fearless God that I enjoy so much. She is still the spunky, kick-a**, hard-outer-shell-with-a-gooey-center, protector and destroyer. I love her recklessness and her fake it til you make it take on every situation. I love the way her men spoil her and treat her like the treasure she is. I love the way she is collecting friends and protectors while at the same time snubbing her nose at all her enemies.Things are starting to peak in this one. New enemies are encountered, new alliances are formed, and things get a little bit darker for Cass. She is starting to get more info on who she really is and just what she's capable of (YAY!) but that knowledge brings her to the attention of people she isn't quite ready to deal with. There is pain in this one. Not everything is a bed of roses and there is sorrow mingled in with the joy, but that is what happens when you go to war with the Gods.I love this series. I love Meg's writing style and the way her words pick me up and place me in the story like I'm living it. I love the bits of humor and the glimpses of dark that coexist in this world. I am enjoying tagging along while Cass grows into herself and all the struggles that go with that. The story is fast-paced and has plenty of action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. There is also passion and romance that heats you up and melts your heart. I am once again waiting impatiently for the next book in this series and I highly recommend this and every other book by this author.

Wow this series is seriously amazing. A Court of Ice and Wind, book 3 in the series, is definitely a tougher one to read. Cass is in the hands of some evil gods, but no matter the threats or torture, she doesn't give up hope that she will be reunited with her mates. This book gives us a deeper look at Cass herself as we get to know more of her origins and her her abilities. She is more than anyone imagined which she proves to the gods who thought they could contain her. Cass is an extremely tough and adaptive character. She refuses to be caged again and will fight anything and anyone who stands between her and her freedom with her mates.Cass is ready to be the weapon everyone needs her to be, she is ready to do whatever it takes to destroy the gods who have targeted her. But not all the gods appear to be the monsters she has experienced. With enemies everywhere and a slowly growing number of allies, Cass is preparing for war and it's coming quick.A Court of Ice and Wind is an amazing story in this fantastic series. This author writes dark and gritty fantasy but manages to weave in amazing bits of humor and romance that keep me coming back for more. Book 4 cannot come soon enough!

Solar System: A Journey to the Planets and Beyond (3-D Explorer), by Ian Graham

From Booklist

From the 3-D Exploration series, this large-format book offers a highly illustrated introduction to the solar system. Rather than the usual planet-by-planet tour with boxes of fast facts, the book combines a more general approach to the solar system with a few instances of more focused, detailed treatments. For example, Mars is mentioned twice on the double-page spread showing all the planets and in several sentences on the spread featuring the four inner planets. More detail is given in the “Landing on Mars” spread, which features a pop-up image of a Mars Rover ready for action, a paragraph of information, and 10 small, captioned pictures. Nicely designed, the book includes a good mix of photos and original illustrations. While students will prefer more traditional books for research, the five pop-up scenes give this one undeniable appeal for browsing. Grades 4-7. --Carolyn Phelan

My son is 5 and was assigned a space project for his pre-k class. I ordered this book because for some reason pop-up books always seem to stoke his interest more than a traditional illustrated book does. I found myself enjoying this book as much as he did and now know more space facts than I did when I was in school. I would highly recommend this for any child space enthusiast or for any parent wanting to get their child interested in astronomy.

Bought this for my 7 year old who has been asking for a book about astronomy. She really likes it. The illustrations are beautiful and it is very informative. Only complaint is we wish it was a longer book.

Grandkids absolutely loved the books

Good information for my son.

This is an absolutely gorgeous and educational book. It is just fascinating and the children who read it are mesmerized. I highly recommend this book over many other solar system books for young children. Wow!

Offered some good advice but I got to the end and thought, "is this IT?" I think that the Kindle version had some serious format problems as I kept seeing what I perceived as "slices of pie" shapes that undoubtedly had text or meaning to them, but did not show properly in Kindle. I think I got through the content of the book in about 10 minutes and felt like I had obviously missed something important due to format issues.Review edited May 27, 2016I am amending my review to five stars - with an asterisk! Per the dialogue below, Robin stepped in and sent me the paperback version, which is FANTASTIC!!! Based on the type of content for this book, pass GO, skip the Kindle version and move directly to the paperback which is beautifully laid out and is the perfect length with spot-on content. Can't wait to read this on the way down to The Chuck tonight. Thank you Robin!!!

This book has some really great information for this planning to move to the Charleston, SC area. I really appreciated the information on how to decide where you want to live. I glad I purchased it.

Potentially moving to Charleston in a few months and really appreciated the background. In everything I read - no one mentioned flood insurance! It would be nice to include sections on diversity, specifically LGBTQ living. Coming from a big, inclusive city, this would be helpful! The other piece I feel I'm missing is the book seems to be hyperlinked, but I didn't get a live version so I can't get those addresses? Did my book not come with that option?

I purchased the book as a gift. I'm sure it had great information, but I was expecting more substantial info (substance) based on the price. I should have checked the size of the book as it looked puny next to the other gift books I purchased.

Good Info and there really aren't any other books on this subject. BUT.... It should be half the price, how is it $25.00 for a soft and thin sized book!?

The information appeared good, but it was a small, small book. Not worth twenty bucks in my opinion. We ended up sending it back.

Amazing book, spot on advice and even my husband enjoyed it. Very well written and informative. Highly recommended.

There is no solid info for renters (and not much for singles). The neighborhood descriptions are pretty helpful though. .

I pre-ordered this not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of great artwork, and very well written text. I sat down to glance through it, and ended up reading the entire thing in one sitting in about 2.5 hours. Even though I knew a lot of the lore, there was a lot I didn't know, and this filled the gaps. Great "coffee table book" too.The only criticism I have is that it advertised a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff which only consists of a few pages near the back of the book that doesn't provide any insight at all, it's just like "photos from BlizzCon," etc. I didn't order it for that, so wasn't put off by it, but some might be.

I like that it is a visual guide, but the art styles seem a little all over the place which is off putting sometimes. Some of the art is just game screenshots too, which can really stand out. I understand this is because the book is unofficial and they pull the art from whatever sources they can, but it was slightly a let down when I first thumbed through. The information it provides is also very minimal and mostly things you would already know if you have played the game very much. I'm not very good with keeping up with the story within the game (even though I have played since release) but even I know most of the information in this book. Just don't expect this to go into much detail or back story, it's just a quick recap of the main people, places, and things in the game.I don't think this guide is bad, but you should know who this is for. It's not for those that want a show piece with beautiful artwork and some light back story, I would not use this as a coffee table piece or anything.and it's not for those looking to really dig deeper into the story outside of what the game easily offers, I'd recommend the new World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 for that. But I do recommend this for someone new to the game that wants to catch up on the story and have a better understanding of what is going on. It will take you through the story line up until the end of the Warlords expansion. Making it perfect for someone just starting out in Legion.

Personally, I liked this book and enjoyed almost every bit. But the main problem with a book about a constantly changing game is that it gets out of date fast. This book was published in 2016, right before Legion. This means that it contains practically no information on the events of Legion whatsoever. For some strange reason, the events of the Burning Crusade are also mostly omitted. The book is nice to look at, but some parts of it can seem a little low quality (the images of characters that are just screenshots look terrible compared to the artwork some characters have). Also, some pictures in the book are out of date with the rest of the book itself, most notably Page 14-15, with the Horde and Alliance Leaders pictured. Since this was probably drawn before Cataclysm, the worgen and goblin leaders are not shown (nor are the pandaren representatives for the factions, but they don't matter as much). Get this book if you like the feeling of paper in your hand and want to look and some great artwork; if you want a consistently up to date source of info, then stick to Wowpedia.

The book contains beautiful artwork as well as simplified information about the Lore of World of Warcraft. But because the book is simplified, the information does not specify details of information such as the novels does with Arthas' childhood and his horse Invincible or how Illidan truly felt when Tyrande chose Malfurion over him. I guess you could say that this book is just for people who are new to the Lore of World of Warcraft and who wants to get a brief summary of it in just 200 pages rather than thousands whether it be in the books or in-game content. I love the visuals the book contains which is a mix of the concept art, the World of Warcraft comic book's art, in-game art and etc. The books contents is categorized as:1) Introduction2) The Chronicles of Azeroth3) The Alliance4) The Horde5) The Pandaren6) Heroes and Villains7) Behind the ScenesNow the book's information isn't just about the MMO version of Warcraft but also the previous games about it. Although I have yet to finish reading the book, my favorite part so far has to deal with the Chronicles of Azeroth because of how the book explains the timeline as well as the important figures within that timeline such as the Titans and Sargeras, the Burning Legion, Ner'zhul and the War of the Ancients. Unfortunately, there is little information about the Old gods which is to be expected considering that they are still a mystery in the Lore. The design of the book is magnificent because of the hard cover and a removable book cover to have the cover of the book just show the design of the cover without any text. Just see the picture of the product and imagine it without having the title as well as the text in the bottom. Although the book still has the publisher in the back as well as the barcode but that's alright I guess.Overall the book deserves a 9.5/10 and 5/5 for the moment. Perhaps I'll come back to edit it when I finish reading the book.

Review

"There is much in this readable and pointed book that will interest and challenge both philosophers and theologians, and the epistemological reorientation Moser develops has the potential to significantly alter debates in current philosophy of religion, and for the better. --Review of Metaphysics"This is a powerful and highly thought-provoking book, always meticulously argued, but also written with the kind of overt emotional commitment that is rare in contemporary philosophy of religion, particularly that dealing with epistemological questions." --TLS

Book Description

Paul Moser offers a new perspective on the evidence for God that centers on a morally robust version of theism that is cognitively resilient. The resulting evidence for God is morally and existentially challenging to humans, as they themselves responsively and willingly become evidence of God's reality in receiving and reflecting God's moral character for others.

I received this book surprisingly fast and I was pleased with the condition of the book as well. The book itself is fairly technical but I would recommend this book to introductory students of philosophy. The arguments, in particular, don't expect the reader to be well-versed in logic, epistemology, or metaphysics. Of course, if familiar with the various disciplines will indubitably assist you in your comprehension of the book.Overall, this book adequately develops the concept of religious epistemology when attaining knowledge of God's exists. Enlightening and well-written I would propose as well. Good treatment of the debate.-RD

I ordered this book on a whim and am surprised that no one has reviewed it yet. I will do a more detailed review later, but have some review points for an interested reader:1. The main point of the book, that God does reveal himself to the world, but not on our terms, is salient. Sounds God-worthy. God exhibits His existence in a life submitted to him. We, morally committed to Christ's purposes, are the evidence to the world (and to ourselves)of God's existence. He builds on this point and gives the core idea a lot of substance. Well worth reading.2. Why four stars and not five? Frankly, Moser is an academian and writes like one. His sentence structures are too long and complex. I sometimes find myself re-reading a sentence many times to figure out what he's saying. The only reason I am working thru this book (about 2/3rds done) is because the content is rewarding and may in the final analysis be correct!3. This book creates a path that seems viable. The naturalists want the Christian world to confront them on their terms. When Christians debate atheists to provide objective truth for God's existence, they always get smeared. It's embarrasssing to watch the gyrations that Christians go through to prove God from a worldly aspect. This book provides an alternative viewpoint that respects God, respects our responsibility toward God, and works out faith in a realistic fashion.I'd like to hear the take of others on Moser's work. I find it a relief from the worn out apologetics found in popular Christian books. Ken

Paul K. Moser (Professor & Chairperson Dept. of Philosophy: Loyola University, Chicago) relates epistemic issues to the evidence for the existence of God with masterly skill in "The Evidence for God: Religious Knowledge Reexamined." Moser, author of "The Elusive God," paints a far more textured picture of epistemology's crucial role in determining genuine evidence for the existence of the Christian God than the majority of contemporary apologists.Along the way Professor Moser attempts to deflate various arguments for theism that play down the ontic majesty of the true and living God. Additionally he cogently refutes naturalism with precision and care (pp. 46-84). His persuasive and inexpugnable contestations refuting sundry schools of naturalism alone make this volume worth purchasing. Professor Moser also convincingly discredits fideism as he provides the reader with a thoughtful case against blind faith. The book "develops volitional theism against the background that includes critical assessment of prominent competing positions" (Naturalism, Fideism, Traditional Proofs, Plantinga's epistemology - p. 45).The book's claims are launched with an erudite quote from H.H. Farmer: "Many questions are answered wrongly, not because the evidence is contradictory or inadequate, but because the mind through its fundamental dispositions and presuppositions is out of focus with the only kind of evidence which is really available" (p. 1).Moser controverts numerous forms of Naturalism including:- Quine's (p. 68-70)- Ontological Naturalisma. Eliminative ontological naturalismb. Noneliminative reductive ontological naturalismc. Noneliminative nonreductive ontological naturalism- Methodological naturalism in three dominant forms. All this within the context of a refutation of Scientism (pp. 76-87) while he opposes the empirical attempt to prove the existence of God (p. 87).The author rejects classical proofs (pp. 142-182) along with historical and evidential methods as systems that prove too little (finite data V. an infinite ontology: the God of Christian Theism), yet he admits to their possible psychological or aesthetic apologetic value (p. 160). The author also denies that Behe's irreducible complexity and ID science are epistemically satisfying approaches (p. 166-167).The often astute professor alogically and unbiblically rejects God's sovereignty in the salvation of souls and the enlightening of minds (pp. 131-142 and misc.). He builds a neurasthenic case for the divine call that results in "nonargument evidence of God's reality" not as "volitionally static" forasmuch as we need to "avoid ... a bias against evidence of the divine reality that comes from the volitional pressure of a transcendent call and the resulting transformation of a willing human recipient who thereby becomes a personifying evidence of God's reality" (p. 150). Nonetheless Moser's previous arguments against traditional proofs (finite, mutable, perishing material things lack the epistemic ability and ontic necessities to prove an infinite, immutable, imperishable God) cuts off the branch he's resting his arguments on: Christians become the "evidence of God's reality in receiving and reflecting God's moral character to others" (p. ix); inasmuch as Christians are also mutable and finite, thus under Moser's epistemic scrutiny, they fail to offer proof for the awesome infinite and immutable God revealed in scripture. The professor's argument provides the grounds that confute his own position. The author claims that the evidence that has epistemically virtuous rights streams from the personal, perfectly loving God who alone deserves our worship and obedience. He maintains that this is the only justifiable evidence because God is elusive and all that is within the cosmos is epistemically diminutive. The seeker should open his heart and find salient evidence for the reality of God in the lives of believers who exhibit the love that they have received from the Lord. I personally haven't met a fellow Christian who lived a life that is morally adequate enough to be proof for the existence of God; furthermore I have not observed the love of a believer that was so impressive as to compel one to believe in God. The only moral source of love that compels saving faith is found in Christ Jesus.Moser offers a formidable case against fideism and mysticism (p. 88-125), but his central allegation against classical & evidential proofs implies that he's one who rejects propositional and evidential proof, so he seems to slide into a type of moderate fideism himself, although he avouches "moderate evidentialism" (p. 135). He advocates the amorphous view that "God's reality is increasingly available and salient to me as I, myself, am increasingly willing to become such evidence--that is evidence of God's reality." This contention is his chief argument for Christian theism (p. 172).One reason Moser contends that God's existence cannot be proved in propositional apologetic terms is: God is epistemically veiled so the lives of believers are the only sufficient evidence that is available, moreover we need to "let God be God" (p. 28). God is concealed since "the reality of the God is knowable firsthand by humans on the basis of salient and conclusive, if elusive, evidence."The author endeavors to rebut the Reformed view of soteriology in relation to apologetic pursuits as he asserts that some "people assume that God would have a magic cognitive bullet in divine self-revelation whereby God guarantees that the divinely offered evidence of God's existence will actually be willingly received by humans. Sometimes this dubious assumption is clothed in talk of `divine sovereignty,' but this approach, in any case, involves a serious mistake" (pp. 33-34). However Romans chapter one informs the world that all men know that God exists but they suppress the truth in unrighteousness; furthermore the totality of holy writ discloses the idea that God is the agent who opens the human heart and calls men to Himself by grace alone. The professor states: "Conclusive firsthand evidence for divine reality is, I'll contend, purposively available to humans, that is, available in a way, and only in a way, that accommodates the distinctive purposes of a perfectly loving God. The latter purposes, we'll see, would aim non-coercively but authoritatively to transform human purposes to agree with divine purposes, despite human resistance."Moser's work may not have compelling positive and direct proof for theism but he does present an extremely effective refutation of naturalism and fideism along with a moderate challenge to the traditional arguments for God's existence. Even though I affirm a dissimilar apologetic method and epistemic approach, I enjoyed this volume immensely and gained additional insight in ways to defend the faith. My method advocates a certain argument for the existence of God. Additionally in contrast to Moser I argue that God alone furnishes all the a priori essentials for the necessary epistemic equipment utinlized in all science and research. God has the ontic attributes of omniscience, immutability, and omnipotence (universal reach) to be the ground for the immaterial universal and immutable rational and ethical necessities. Any position that rejects Christian theism cannot be true (see my book: "A Letter to An Atheist Nation" by Mike A Robinson); thus whatever evidence one discovers, one must discern and process that evidence with the rational tools noted above.Truth, Knowledge and the Reason for God: The Defense of the Rational Assurance of ChristianityThere Are Moral Absolutes: How to Be Absolutely Sure That Christianity Alone Supplies

#236,172 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

I first picked up this book because of the cover. I mean it screamed “READ ME”. And also, the blurb pulled me in too. After all, I am a huge fan of Pretty Little Liars and Scream Queens. So, did this book accomplish what I had hoped? Overall, yes it did. I found it to be not only enjoyable but creepy and fun as well. However, I wish the book STAYED creepy. I wasn’t really a fan of the ending or what was really killing off these girls. I can’t go into details because if I do I will spoil it, but for some reason this just didn’t do it for me. Other than that, the book is great. The book is about a bunch of high school students who ultimately end up on the “hottie” list. Each year 10 girls are chosen and this forms an elite sisterhood between the girls. Unfortunately for the girls who made the list this year, something is killing them. Each and every death is made to appear as an accident. Is it, or isn’t it? That’s the fun in reading it.The characters in this book are pretty likeable. While it took me a little time to warm up to them, eventually I did. I liked Kenzie and her backstory especially where it concerns her family and her brother. The whole situation made me emotional and I could essentially feel the emotions her character was emitting. I also liked the secondary characters as they reminded me of my high school days. You have the popular kids, the nerds, the jocks, the cheerleaders etc. So overall, the characters were written well and fit into the “high school cliché”.The plot is interesting and pretty unique as I have never read a book like this before. This is what made reading it so exciting for me. Again, while I wasn’t a fan of the ending the book still held its ground and was interesting.Overall this is a very enjoyable 4 star read. If you like young adult mysteries with some serious creep factor than this is certainly one to consider. While I am not a huge fan of the price ($10.99 on kindle) it’s a good book worth getting your hands on

Even the cover of They All Fall Down looked so creepy that I knew I had to read this book pronto! Especially after reading the synopsis, and for the most part it did deliver. They All Fall Down starts with our heroine Mackenzie who is just your average type typical girl next door, whose striving to get through school so she can get on to better things, such as college, to where the memory of her beloved brothers death, and split family might be a thing of the past. But everything turns around when she finds out that she is part of the schools much anticipated "Hottie List." A list that only has ten of the hottest girls in the school, and Kenzie is still struggling to figure out how she managed to land on it...that is until the ultimate hottie himself, Josh, rolls up to her with a wicked smile that melts her brain. Figuring the list is stupid, but could put her in the vicinity of Mr. Hottie Kenzie just goes along with it. That is until the girls start having accidents...accidents that can't be explained, and when deaths start to occur rumors fly of a curse on the girls on the hottie list. And if that isn't unnerving enough to Kenzie the bad boy at school now has his eye on her too, and while her blood may run hot at the thought of Josh, it's absolutely an inferno when Levi looks at her. But all these thoughts go flying out of her head once the girls numbers start to dissipate, and she realizes she's next. It's up to her and her loyal friends to help figure this mystery out before her time is up.This book truly had so much going for it! Great characters that you rallied for, and each supporting character had a great personality that matched their actions, and were totally believable. The main character was written well, and the plot was very good! I love a great mystery, and this book really did hold my attention until the end. The love interest wasn't actually bad at all, and I liked how it was written. There was no true insta-love here, and I enjoyed that immensely! I get so sick of that or a total love triangle, but Kenzie knew exactly what she wanted, and wasn't afraid to go for it, and yet, she understood some things needed to wait as the death of the girls on the list was more important, so the author did a great job there giving Kenzie a logical head. That being said...the ending. Wow. I didn't see it going there at all, and it did get cheesy for me. Totally cheesy. Was it still a great read? Yes. It truly was. It had me on edge trying to see if it was a curse of it someone was behind all these deaths, and then how the other clues could fit in to the rest of it. And I really did not see this going in the direction it took. Which were all great things. However, the end was just way too silly for me, and the author left the end open for a series. I wont' give the ending away, but if you are expecting ghostly encounters, look elsewhere than They All Fall Down. With all that being said, I still do recommend reading this book as it did have a lot of the elements I love, with a mystery thrown in, a little romance, adventure, and a girl who will try her hardest to kick butt or think herself out of a situation, plus a great set of characters. The ending sucked, but it's just because I was waiting for a ghostly ending or someone who wanted revenge. Even without that element and the weird line it took it was still a great book!
